Terms of Service
Last updated 5 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between Two Trick Pony Enterprise, Lloyd Webberhof 15, 3543 EG Utrecht, the Netherlands (KvK 89010701), trading as Django Cloud ("Django Cloud", "we") and you, the person or company using Django Cloud ("you"). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you accept for a company, you confirm you can bind it.
1. The service
Django Cloud helps you deploy a Django application to Amazon Web Services: it builds your code, pushes it to a container registry, runs it, keeps a release history and lets you roll back, and shows logs and metrics. Plans and what they include are on our pricing page. Features marked "coming soon" are not part of the service until released.
2. Your account
- You must give accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 18. Personal projects, side projects and businesses are all welcome.
- You can close your account at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us.
3. Your AWS account and credentials
- With the Self-hosted plan your application runs in your own AWS account. You pay AWS directly for everything it creates there (servers, registry storage, data transfer, databases). We do not control and are not responsible for AWS prices or charges, including charges caused by the size and number of instances you choose.
- You give us a cross-account IAM role (or, as a fallback, an IAM access key) so we can act in your AWS account. You authorise us to use it only to deploy, run, update and remove your deployments. Create a dedicated role or user with only the permissions we list, and never use root credentials.
- We store the secret key encrypted and delete it when you disconnect AWS or close your account. You can revoke it in AWS at any moment; deployments will then stop being manageable by us but keep running in AWS until you remove them.
- If you ask us to run your application in our AWS account (a hosted plan), you pay us instead, and section 5 applies.
4. Your code and data
You keep all rights in your code, data and content ("Customer Content"). You give us the limited right to process it only to provide the service. You are responsible for it, for having the right to deploy it, and for complying with the law, including data protection law, for any personal data in it. Our Data Processing Agreement applies to personal data we process for you.
5. Prices and payment
- Plan prices are shown on our site, in the currency stated, excluding VAT unless stated. You pay by card through Stripe.
- Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel any time; it ends at the end of the paid period and fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires.
- Closing your account. If you close your whole account, we cancel your subscription, delete your deployments and refund to your card the part of what you paid that covers the time after you closed it, calculated pro rata by the second. Closing only a project, or cancelling the subscription while keeping your account, does not trigger this refund.
- Upgrades are charged up front. If you choose a larger size or more instances on a plan we bill, we charge the difference immediately and deploy only after payment succeeds. If the charge fails, nothing changes.
- If a payment fails and is not resolved after Stripe's retries, we may suspend your account and stop new deployments until you pay. Deployments already running in your own AWS account are not stopped by us.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; the change applies from your next renewal.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to: break the law; host malware, phishing or content that infringes others' rights; attack or probe other systems; mine cryptocurrency; send spam; or interfere with the service or other customers. We may suspend or remove a deployment that breaks these rules or creates a security or legal risk, and where practical we will tell you first.
7. Availability and support
We work to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and there is no uptime guarantee (SLA) unless we agree one in writing. We may carry out maintenance. Support is by the channels shown for your plan.
8. Third-party services
The service relies on third parties such as AWS, GitHub and Stripe. Their terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their outages or changes.
9. Intellectual property
We own the service, including its software, design and documentation. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it under these terms. "Django" is a registered trademark of the Django Software Foundation; Django Cloud is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by it.
10. Liability
- Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence.
- Otherwise we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost data, or AWS charges you incur.
- Our total liability for all claims in connection with the service in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months.
- You are responsible for backing up your data. Rolling back code does not roll back your database.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, do not pay, or the law requires it. On termination we delete your account data as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by nature should survive (payment, liability, governing law) do.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will notify you at least 30 days before material changes take effect; if you do not agree you may cancel before then. Continued use after that means you accept the changes.
13. Governing law and disputes
Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, the Netherlands, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to go to your local court.
